Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Boredom Rush (the "App"), developed by JStudio Tech, Inc., handles information when you use the App. We designed the App to collect as little information as possible. You can play without an account. If you choose to back up your progress, the App uses an account as described below. The optional ads described below are provided by third-party advertising partners, who handle some information under their own privacy policies.
Information We Collect
The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, or contacts. If you turn on Cloud Save (Settings > Account), the App stores an account identifier and your game progress, as described in the Cloud Save section. Our advertising partners may collect information when you choose to watch an ad, as described in the Advertising section.
Information Stored on Your Device
Your game progress and settings, such as your level, lives, tokens, the questions you have already seen, and your sound, vibration, notification, and language preferences, are saved on your device. If you don't use Cloud Save, this information is not sent to us.
Cloud Save (Optional)
If you choose to sign in from Settings > Account, using Sign in with Apple on iOS or Google Play Games on Android, the App creates a player account with Unity Authentication and backs up your game progress (level, lives, tokens, streak, and the questions you have already seen) with Unity Cloud Save, so you can restore it after reinstalling the App or on a new device. We receive an account identifier from Apple or Google, not your password. We do not ask for your name or email address. Your sound, notification, and ads choices stay on each device and are not backed up. You can sign out at any time, and you can delete your account and its cloud backup in Settings > Account > Delete Account.
Online Time Check
To keep life refills and the daily ad limit fair, the App checks the current time online by sending a standard web request to a well-known server (Google, Apple, or Cloudflare) and reading the time from the response. No information about you or your game is included in this request. Like any website you visit, those servers can see your device's IP address.
Purchases
Token bundles are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payments are handled entirely by the app store operator under its own privacy policy, and we never receive your payment card details. The App receives a confirmation of each completed purchase so it can add the tokens to your game.
Notifications
If you turn on "Lives refilled" in Settings, the App asks your device for permission and then schedules a local notification on your device to let you know when your lives are full. These notifications are created on your device and no information is sent to us. You can turn them off at any time in Settings or in your device's settings.
Advertising
The App offers optional rewarded video ads: you can choose to watch an ad to earn an extra life, up to a daily limit. Ads are shown only when you choose to watch one. Ads are provided by Unity LevelPlay and its advertising partners. To deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud, these providers may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier (where you allow it), IP address, device type and settings, and how you interact with ads, under their own privacy policies. The first time you open the game, we ask whether our ad partners may use this information to show you more relevant (personalized) ads; you can change your answer anytime in Settings > Personalized ads. On iOS, apps must also ask your permission before using your advertising identifier for tracking; on Android, you can reset or delete it in your device settings.
Analytics
The App does not use analytics tools of its own, and we do not sell your information.
Third-Party Services
The App is built with the Unity engine, is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, shows optional ads through Unity LevelPlay, and (only if you turn on Cloud Save) uses Unity Authentication, Unity Cloud Save, Sign in with Apple, and Google Play Games. These providers may process technical information, such as device type and operating system version, under their own privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Deleting Your Data
You can delete the game data on your device at any time by uninstalling the App. If you use Cloud Save, you can delete your account and its cloud backup in Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by emailing support@jstudiotech.com from the address you want us to reply to, with the subject "Delete my account". Purchase records are kept by the app store operator; contact Apple or Google for questions about those records.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
